I want to build a guitar for my epq since I play guitar- would it be better if I built the design based on a branded guitar (like Gibson) and then I talk about the history of it?? Or should I just make a cool design?

In my opinion both is good as it shows a range of skills and development. I say to weigh the pros and cons of each idea and pick the one you prefer/lean to more. Perhaps talk about this with a teacher or something? To run ideas back and forth😊
