5th choice for Highers Medicine

Hi, I'm currently in S4 and hoping to study medicine at university.

Right now for Higher, I'm definitvely taking Maths, English, Biology and Chemistry but am unsure what to take for my 5th subject. I'm currently deciding between Physics, Latin or German. I know lots of people take Physics but I don't know if its recommended/will help my application. On the other hand, lots of people from my school take Latin and then go on to do medicine. Then for german, i really enjoy it and get good grades, and I don't know whether it would show diversity on my application????

Also, is it different for english and scottish uni's? Like do english ones care more than scottish ones?

Overall, just confused if I need to take the 3 sciences or if med schools even care about the 5th choice. Please help!!

I agree. I chose higher biology, chemistry, maths and english and also higher Spanish. Spanish is one of my favourite subjects. Learning a language something fun to do and also mixes up the application so I would recommend taking German if you enjoy it. I think the 2 sciences are definitely enough.
