durham or bristol

i've received offers for both unis to study law this year and grades aren't an issue but i cannot decide which uni to firm. I know durham is better ranking wise but i'm not sure abt the lack of night life and how far it is from where i live. any experience which could help me thank you !

The nightlife at Durham isn't as bad as it seems (yes its a small city so options are limited) but you'd be surprised at the how vibrant the social/clubbing scene is at Durham. Plus, Newcastle is 10 mins away and people tend to go there if they're bored of the scene at Durham. That being said, I wouldn't focus too much on nightlife, I would definitely suggesting making a pros and cons list for each University so you have a clearer picture when deciding and perhaps making a visit to Durham and Bristol if you can to get a feel of what its like 🙂
