Transferring Uni's with a Foundation Year

Hello,
Currently a student at UEA for Computing Science with FY - I also didn't take A-levels that have any relation to the subject (History, Law, Psychology), but I wanted to switch universities to ones in Scotland or the north of England.
I've applied to:
Uni Of Glasgow - Offered a place (My main choice, since my sibling is currently enrolled there)
Uni Of Edinburgh - Waiting
St Andrews - Waiting
Durham - Waiting

I was wondering when I would get decisions back from the others choices, whether they were rejections or not.

Hello
Does Glasgow University accept foundation year from other universities?
I'm currently enrolled in mechanical engineering foundation year at BCU, but want to apply for BEng Mechanical Engineering in Glasgow University. Would it be possible? I got good grades in my high school (equivalent to A levels in my country), but I didn't take the required subjects for engineering, hence I'm in foundation.

Hi there, and congrats on your Glasgow offer.

In terms of timing, places like Edinburgh, St Andrews and Durham often take a bit longer to process applications. It’s completely normal for decisions to come through anytime from now until March, especially for competitive courses.

Waiting doesn’t mean a rejection. Many strong applications are held so they can compare the full pool. If you haven’t heard anything by late January, it’s worth emailing each admissions team for an update.

Wishing you the best with all your choices. UEA will always be here for you!

Best,
Daniel
