English lit gsce help

I always get grade 7s for English as a student aiming for a 9 and even if I put it in effort and try I still end up with a 7. For reference in my last mock which was abt acc and Macbeth my teacher said I had really good and detailed analysis and yet I still got a 7. At first I thought it was bc I only analyse language and not structure so I focused on structure and form but nothing changed. Anything I could do to improve my grade?

To improve my 7/8 to a 9 I found that talking about symbolism of an event/action/character/structure a couple times an essay really helped. That, and learning a few points for each essay which can repeatedly make up your thesis statement for many different questions, so I always knew what I would be arguing throughout (and it would also save time planning!)
