Which one is better for peace of mind University of Leeds or University of Bradford

I have been offered a place in both universities ( university of Leeds and University of Bradford) for Adult nursing. I don't want to struggle too much during my degree, which one is better in that regard.

Both courses will have exactly the same academic demands / stress factors, so what do you mean by 'struggle'?

Congratulations on both of your offers @Moon saye that's amazing! 🤗

Have you booked onto an Open Day here at Bradford and at Leeds? I think it would be good for you to chat to the academics who'd be teaching you and current students on the course. You can ask them any burning questions you may have about the course difficulty etc. You can also chat to support services who can help give you information about how they can help if you struggle during your time at uni

Open Days are such a good way of getting a feel for the uni, you can explore facilities, the city, take tours of campus and accommodation, go to course talks etc, so I'd highly recommend! In the meantime, you can also check out virtual tours on the uni website, and I'd say to look at the social media pages where you'll also be able to see student videos where they share their experiences of studying at that uni.

Let me know if you have any questions about studying here at Bradford, and I'll do my best to help. If you'd like to chat to an academic I can try contacting the faculty admin team for you and try put you in contact.

Best of luck whatever decision you decide to make 😀

I can tell you I had excellent support on my physiotherapy degree at the University of Bradford. Lovely staff and great pastoral care. Good luck!

I meant if I will be accommodated and supported if needed. Also I was concerned about being kicked out of university if I failed a module or made a mistake.

Most students will need some support with their studies during their time at university, it's completely normal and totally okay to ask for help whenever you need it! I know I had the same anxieties before I started uni, I was worried about how hard I'd find it, what help I could get, whether I'd fail etc, but there is so much support in place to get you through these worries and concerns.

Just some of the examples we have in place are the Academic Skills Advice Service who help students with all areas of academic study, they offer 1-2-1 sessions, group advice, workshops, online study skills resources. There's also a Personal Academic Tutor scheme which aims to ensure that throughout your uni journey you have regular opportunities to meet with an assigned member of academic staff, they'll help you to improve your personal, academic and professional development.

Another example of one of the support teams in place is the Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing team who offer free and confidential advice, counselling, resources and workshops.

Please find the other support teams in place who are here to help support you here. You can also find out more about the support in place at our next open day too!

I hope this has helped, but please let me know if you have any other questions. I'm here to help 🙂
