my form tutor still hasn’t done my references…

okay so a while ago in early January this year I submitted 3 applications to 3 different schools for sixth form. Only 2 of the schools asked for referees though. I put my form tutor for school A and I put my head of sixth form for school B, however this was shortly changed to my form tutor to be my referee for A. Applicaa said they would email me once my reference is completed after my referee had been changed. A few days after my form tutor said that in order for him to complete out reference he had to put things that would ‘define us’ so I wrote things about my strengths and weaknesses on a sheet of paper and handed it to him directly. Weeks later and I still have not received any email confirming anything about reference from Applicaa. Today this morning I received an email from school B that they are still awaiting reference and that my application is being put on hold. Bear in mind that application submission deadlines for both schools ended more than a month ago…

Now I’m worried that I’m not going to be able to get a place in the schools that I really want to go to for sixth form and it’s all going to be my form tutors fault. Both schools that I go to are quite very popular within my area and many people probably applied to these schools. It’s almost March and many other schools have started to confirm places. Tomorrow I’m going to ask him to check if he’s actually completed my references and I’ll do an update.

Nag your form tutor (politely of course), mention how it is affecting your applications and that you need it doing ASAP.

this morning I asked him and he said that “he thought he cleared them” and that “he’ll check” but we had an assembly that same morning so i couldn’t really have a proper conversation about it with him. And I bet he probably has forgotten to check it. so I’m deffo gonna nag him again about it tomorrow. Also do you know where exactly I can check to see whether my reference has been completed or not?
