Warwick law

Help is it realistic for me to have my mind set of Warwick uni for law with average GCSEs like 5s and 6s and have A* for all 3 a levels? Do you guys know anyone who got into Warwick law with average GCSEs?

Well Warwick considers GCSEs highly as it is a good top 1 russel uni! I do know a person that got to Warwick with just three A stars and a very good personal statement.

As a whole what is ur GCSEs?

I would highly recommend you boost your maths and English to a 7 at least and if possible lit. Warwick is really high demand for academic qualifications because they don’t do lnat. And clearly it says on the website past progress is accounted.

Don’t worry!!!!! I have a Warwick law offer for this year and these are my stats:
A Level - 3A*
GCSEs - 9 in english lang, 8 in English lit and History, 7 in chemistry, physics, and sociology, 6 in maths and biology, 5 in art, and a 3 in French. (9887776653)

Given that you’ve been predicted 3A* I don’t think you should worry + also remember that the personal statement and references play a part too.

It’s absolutely a ‘realistic’ goal-

But despite the fact that unis really shouldn’t care about GCSEs, given they were taken 2 or 3 years before you’ll actually attend there, sadly some do.

For most, this is to help discriminate between candidates that are closely performing- having 3 A* should most likely provide an offer and help you stand out and compensate for these GCSEs.

As someone with 998888765 and A* achieved predicted another A*AA and STILL not heard back from Warwick this late in the 2025 cycle despite being an early applicant, I really do think they really value GCSEs more than other RGs (I have had oxf interview and offers from Bristol, Durham and Notts). However, I know other Russel group top unis such as Nottingham who also don't look at the LNAT may be less picky..? If you like Warwick to be down south/ ,midlands getting a top LNAT score and essay could aid you get into a University with an even better ranking than Warwick has.
