Urgent advice needed! Uni accommodation

Hey guys. When I moved in my accommodation room in September there were numerous stains that were quite noticeable on my wall from another tenant last year. I had stupidly forgot to take pictures of them and am now terrified that I will be charged extra. I am so broke I won’t be able to afford this without getting into debt and am even moving universities next year and starting again as I can’t afford to live in the city anymore. Should I let the maintenance people know now and maybe they will repaint for free or should I just wait to see if I get charged when I move out.
Thanks

What colour is the paint? If it’s white have you tried bleaching the stains?

It’s like an off white wall. I tried scrubbing an area but it just made it worse.

Hi,

I would explain the situation to your accommodation, they may have before photos of the room to compare to. Additionally, I recommend taking a picture now so that you have some documentation of what the stains look like.

Hope this helps! Faye 🙂
