feeling like i cant do it

wanna keep this short but i have gcses coming up and i jjst feel like i can’t do it. I spent my half term to finish making flashcards for all my subjects (except lit) but idk if i can learn them all by exam time. But i just feel like i cant do well and its making me feel nervous. In December i did my mocks and i didnt even do bad (only 3 subjects were at a 6, tge rest were a 7+) so idk why i feel like i cant do it. Do i still have time to revise and do well in my subjects? And how can i stop feeling like this

You need to see how close you were to the grade first and then do a deduction on what was missing and tell your self a grade 7 is better than a pass!

Hiya there,

Apologies in advance for leaping into this forum, but I just wanted to give you a bit of reassurance that its totally normal to feel a bit overwhelmed with all of your subjects. If it helps, I found GCSEs the hardest part of my education when I was a student as there was so much content and so much to go over - I found doing my A-Levels and degree easier as there was less content and they are subjects you can choose.

From your mocks it sounds like you're well on track. If you just make sure to use your feedback from them to see the areas you find more tricky and focus on them in particular in your revision, ask your teachers for support and practice at any past paper questions you can (I liked to make flashcards out of the markschemes so I had some Qs and As on topics I wasn't as strong in) then there is no reason why you can't do really well. All the evidence is suggesting you're on track and you clearly care about your subjects - I think you may just need a bit of self-belief!

Wishing you the best of luck with everything!

I can completely relate as I procrastinated a lot when it came to gcse revision . Its completely normal to feel stressed and i would suggest to reassure yourself that you have enough time, it seems like you've been revising regularly so i wouldnt stress too much. Ensure that you do a lot of past papers and try and be as prepared as you can. I personally started revision for my gcse's pretty late and i got all 9/8 grades (not to brag) so as long as you can understand the content and have good exam technique i would'nt worry. try to eliminate your self-doubt (although this can be quite tricky) and start believing that you can do it. if you have any more questions feel free to ask

trust me you got this
ill send a private dm in a bit if I remember but honestly I remember being in your position not too long ago and I was stressing for no reason.

Make Sure You Do Any Revision
Dont Make Flashcards; except if You REALLY cant remember something, I found that I was doing them inefficiently for every single bludclart thing when I really shouldve been making them for stuff I really struggle to remember

just do past paper questions

dont think about mocks or school tests
remember ytou are preparing for the EXAMBOARDS papers

it is VERY POSSIBLE to get all the grades
you have AI
you have the resources
you just need the confidence

I'm doing a levels right now and ngl I'm kinda ass ill be honest
YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO DO EXCELLENT IN YOUR SUBJECTS

to stop feeling like this remember why you are doing your gcses
do you have a purpose in mind

usually if you have some sort of motivation or goal that you want to reach this will drive you to maintain your work
