UCL Application Portal Nightmare

Does the portal generally not allow you to view the personal statement entered in the application form field? When I finished writing my statement, after the character limit was up, I have attached a supplementary statement document, which I can view without any issues. After saving my application to return to edit later, the field where I entered the first half of my statement disappeared, but my supplementary statement document remained. I logged in from various devices and still could not see that field available. The application check list stated that section was completed so I went ahead and submitted. I assume it would not have said completed if the statement field was not populated right? Now, when I look to review my application in portico, I can only view the attached document and not the first half of the statement entered in the form field. Is this normal? Many thanks for any help!
