A-level help - textiles, politics and English

Hi everyone,

Hope you are feeling okay about a-levels and revision. I thought I would come on here to share some advice and help anyone with anything they might be struggling with.

I studied government and politics, English combined and textiles at A-Level so feel free to ask me any questions you may have. It can be anything from revision tips to coping managing time!

Good Luck

Hi @jjgbkml

This is great that you have been making essay plans! This can help in itself with timing as it should hopefully be helping you remember information and so when you get a question you will have a better idea of how to answer, making you quicker at responding to questions.

You could also time yourself planning essay questions with the amount of time you would have in the exam to plan (this is usually 5/10 minutes depending on the question). You could do this for essay plans you have already made by not looking at them and planning it in timed conditions to help you memorise.

Of course the best way to get better at timing is completing essay questions and papers in timed conditions. This can of course be time consuming so sometimes timing essay plans is more efficient. However try and work back from the exam dates and schedule in a few questions or a paper a week. Creating your own questions is also a great way to revise.

I also made my essay plans into digital flashcards so I could look through them wherever I was to help me memorise the content.

I hope this is helpful and good luck in you exams
