Hi @Kxn849

I was applying for jobs this time last year and would pretty much apply to any that met my general requirements and availability. I would suggest setting aside some time each day, or each week if making constant applications is becoming overwhelming, to have a look at any new jobs posted or to apply. If you said to yourself that you'd set 30 minutes at most to look at new adverts and possibly submit applications, that should be enough each day. I found I was constantly looking at job sites when I was applying, which honestly made me more stressed about my job search. So I think staying in control of your time is important.

I also found nearly everyone hiring only takes online applications. Some employers will have adverts in their windows and will accept CVs in person, but I would personally stick to applying online to save yourself some time and energy. Have a general CV ready to go on your phone so you can always upload it to a job application if you see something while you're on the go.

Also, I'm not sure if you're a student or not, but if you are and you're finding the fact that you may be travelling to and from home is getting in the way of your application, I'd recommend trying to apply for jobs with chain companies. This could be high street brands or restaurants where there is bound to be one in a different location. I found this has allowed me to transfer stores at my current job, which has been really helpful as a student. You may not need this factor, but something to consider if you do.

I hope you get something sorted soon! 🙂

I mean as many as you can really, especially if it's your first job. Think it's much easier to apply online for larger companies (ie supermarkets and fast food places) but might be worth going in person and handing your cv in for small cafes etc. You can always email small businesses aswell tho asking if they have any positions available.
