The Student Room Group

I have been labelled as an international student at the royal college of art (rca)!

So I got an offer to study an MA at the Royal College of Art, but I have been labelled as an international student even though I am a home student. I reached out to the admissions team on 17th February, as soon as I received the offer letter. I received a response on 18th February asking me to fill out a fee status assessment form and submit certain important documents as proof. I did everything they asked for, yet I have received no response since 18th February. I have sent two separate emails since with further proof, with hope that they respond. No response. I also called RCA, but the woman on the phone said there was nothing she could do.

I am beginning to panic as my deadline to accept my place is 10th March. I worked so hard to get into RCA and it really breaks my heart that this silly issue could ruin my hard work. Please what should I do?

Suppose you meet all conditions for local fees and sent them all the evidence, all they can do is either changing the fee status or withdraw the offer. Keeping silence, i.e. not withdrawing the offer, can reasonably be construed as they have no ojectionto your argument and not an indication of disagreement. You may accept the offer. If they say you are international fee paying, you have the case.

I would accept the offer and just keep pushing for the fee status change - seems like an admin error on their side.

I thought about this, but they require I pay a the international student deposit of £2000 before my deadline.

They have asked me to pay the international student deposit of £2000 in order to accept my place, which I cannot pay.

In that case you need to notify them if you have requested a fee reassessment.

I doubt if such condition is allowed by UCAS?
