Help!! Ucas extra

So I'm no longer moving forward with the course I've applied for, and have finished writing my personal statement for a new course. I'm going to withdraw my remaining choices to go into ucas extra.

Need some advice! University A has a course I've confirmed I'm eligible for, but was unable to get them on the phone today to confirm whether I would be able to hand in a new personal statement. My second choice University has confirmed they will take a new personal statement, and understand my situation.

What to do? I have a lot anxiety that my second choice University course will stop taking applications, and then leave me with University A who I'm unsure would even consider my application based on my personal statement. My options are heavily tied in both of these universities, but I'm just very scared to wait until Monday. As I've seen courses close for applicants left and right, I've missed out on one of my top choices while I was writing my personal statement. I was just wondering if I applied to my second option, and then found out University A would take my application could I just withdraw? Would that mean I wouldn't be able to apply again for that course again with my second choice this cycle?

For reference, I have my grades already and on a gap year, this is why I'm so keen to get an offer ASAP.

How do you withdraw?

You go to your ucas hub, click on your 2025 application and it should show all your universities you've applied for. If you haven't received a decision there is an option on each course choice that let's you withdraw, from there u just confirm with a phrase and ticking a box for each one you haven't received a decision for yet. After you've done this, refresh and you now have the option to decline your offers. After you've declined/ withdrawn all your choices you will see an option to select a new course choice with ucas extra. Keep in mind, some courses are no longer taking applications so contact your university regarding which course you want and confirm it's still open/ taking applications before you apply!

You're welcome! Keep in mind that you can only apply for 1 choice at a time, so you have to wait to get a decision on that one before you decide if u wanna apply elsewhere (or you can withdraw). You can also keep applying till clearing opens up, however i doubt it will take that long to get an offer. Good luck

I also had offers, however ucas extra is made for those who don't have any so you have to decline them in order to acesss it. It was the best option for me and my situation, but i don't know what your situation is. I would say just make sure you only use extra if you are completely unhappy with your current offer, and there's a course you would be happy with that's still open and you think you have a real chance of getting into.
