where did you completed your undergraduate degree? yes I had interviews from both the University of Sheffield and the University of Liverpool. The Sheffield interview was a bit longer and included more questions, such as the difference between optometry and orthoptics and why I chose this university and so on, it wasn’t scary. By the way are you Turkish?

Thanks for your advice! Nice to meet you. I'm Turkish. The reason I asked if you were Turkish is that I have some friends named Selina.

hi there, i have an interview coming up with sheffield. I was wondering what types of questions they ask you during the interview. If they focus on your personal statement, what do they pick up from it?

I left university of Liverpool orthoptics Bsc because its awful support and management. if I had to pick between the two if you really love orthoptics then I recommend university of Sheffield as ive met the teachers from there and there amazing. With university of Liverpool the teachers very arrogant there will be no support from them whatsoever and as you have to do 9 placements over the 3 years if you experience any unprofessionalism from staff working at the hospital if you ask university for any help they will ignore you completely. there extremely slow at replying to any emails. also with placements you expected to pay for accommodation and travel costs upfront and hotels for 1 placement usually cost around £2300 just for hotels alone you will get the money back but after a month of placements and lots of people couldn't afford this as peoples outgoings for food, student accommodation rent, placement costs it was too much a lot of people left for this reason. you do get a bursary but this doesn't help whatsoever. the placement staff also mistreat you a lot most the time I was told numerous times that students ruin the progress of seeing patients as there slow yet they have many years of experience of course students going to be slow, you are constantly shouted at, you legally required 20 minutes break for 8 hours worth of placement but you would be lucky to even get a lunch. once you become an orthoptist lots of people complained they can't get a job whatsoever as you can only apply for band 5 jobs only down south. with placements also you are sent anywhere in the uk & Ireland. also usually when lots of people have complained about the course it usually gets deleted my recommendation is to look for another course completely
