Are AS practice papers worth doing?

Is it worth doing AS past papers or will this differ a lot from A level?
Asking for all subjects but mainly thinking of biology with the mark scheme being so specific is there differences between AS and Alevel ?

I strangely found AS past papers harder than Alevel for some subjects: I do biology, chem n physics. It’s useful though for any subject to test ur time management and increase ur overall confidence

my school made us do as exams, so i did them anyway. to be honest with you they give you practice, and usually the content is literally just the first year of a level so esp for bio it dives deeper into topics 1-4, as both papers test topics 1-4 (this is aqa specific btw bc im familiar with aqa a level biology).

However with most courses the spec is continued from AS to A level. So in my opinion, yes it is worth practicing.
