Uni and 2 under 2.

Hello, I’m going to start a midwifery course in September, I am currently pregnant and expecting for the end of August. I also have a toddler who will be around 22 months when baby n°2 shows up. I will be on maternity leave from my work for that year so I really don’t want to defer as I’ll come back to work in the summer break and then officially leave for my second year of uni.
I’m just wondering if anyone has done it before, and did you bring in your newborn to lectures/seminars? Any tips on how to manage? Thank you!

Well done for aiming high and working hard! Tho I hope you don’t mind if I remind you to be kind and forgiving to yourself as you will be taking on a lot! You may find you are very organised, well supported and mange extremely well. But you will also have two very demanding, independent young people with their own personalities and needs who will be dominating your life 😂 and a rush of changing hormones - so should you struggle at any point, it’s ok to not be superwoman/supermum. If you end up having to tweak your plans it’s ok. You have time and can still achieve your goals even if there’s a few unplanned bumps in the road. Take care of yourself

Thank you, those reminders are always appreciated. It is a big thing and I know I’m about to take on a whole lot, I will most definitely listen to my body and my mind and ask for help if and when necessary. And I know I might have to tweak my plans in the worst case scenario, I’m just really hoping not to, haha. 🥰
