stupid question about conditional offer

as the title states, i know this is a stupid question but im a bit of a paranoid person lmao.

i received a conditional offer this morning, with the only condition being that i email over scans of my a-level certificates. i just want to check that if i were to email the scans over today, that wouldn't mean i'm under any obligation to actually choose that university? i am 99.99% sure it doesn't work like that, but if someone could confirm, that would be great.

@lastditcheffort Eventhough you scan over your Certificates, you have not fully enrolled to the university. Even if you were fully enrolled, I don't think you are in any obligation to study at the university. While applying for university, I got few conditional offers and I had to send some after documents. I did send the documents, but when I got unconditional offer from the University I wanted the most, I just sent an email to the other univeristy and told them I no longer wanted to continue with their application.

You are not obligated to choose that university.

Good luck with your applications and congratulations on your offer:smile:

Verifying your results has no connection to accepting the offer. Send away.

No obligation at all.
They just want to see your certificates before switching it to an Unconditional offer, thats all.

Hi @lastditcheffort ,

Don't worry, sending over these certificates does not mean you are choosing to attend that university!

Here is a bit of insight on how it works:

If your are choosing between conditional offers, you will put a firm and an insurance option, then depending on your grades on A-level results day, your place will be decided.

If you select an unconditional offer, you will not choose a firm or insurance option as you have already been officially given a place to that university.

Even at this point, you have no obligation to attend these universities if you choose not to. You can apply through clearing to other universities or take a gap year.

But overall, sending over documents does not confirm your choice.

I hope this helps, please feel free to ask me any questions
