What if I don't get my first choice?

If you don't get your first choice for university, there's a few options. First of all, there's an option to apply through clearing, which lots of students get in through, but there's also the choice to look into your other universities. My first choice of university was Stirling, in Scotland, to study film. I ended up visiting Stirling and not enjoying the town, so I took a year off, worked full time, and then when it came time to apply I'd looked at other universities and degrees. Even then, when I did a year of policing, I realised it wasn't for me, so I switched to the History degree which I now love. What I mean to say is, it's not the end of the world! There's plenty of stories on the site here and beyond of people finding their true passions and joys by *not* getting their first choice in life. So don't worry!

Here if you would like to ask any questions!
