Which exams have to be done after sixth form?

I'm going to start sixth form in England (currently I'm studying sixth form (year 12) in Spain).

However, I just wanted to know which exams I'll have to do once I finish A-levels (before university).
These exams have a name or something? It is exams for entering to the university and to know the level you have, right?
In sixth form we study a levels, usually 3 subjects. Those are what we need to get into uni. Does that help at all?

What subject are you likely to choose for Uni?
Some subjects at some top Unis do require additional tests.

LNAT for Law
UCAT for Medicine
TMUA for Maths and Economics at top universities
STEP for Cambridge, Imperial and Warwick for Maths

Also, lots of tests for admission at Oxford and Cambridge to rank you in a shortlist of candidates; whether to be invited to interview or not?! 😉

I wonder which A-Level subjects you're studying?

Are you considering Law? Medicine? Dentistry? Pharmacy? Engineering? Maths? Modern Languages? History? Philosophy? Politics? Economics?

Also depending on your circumstances, quite often people who studied oustide of the UK need to have passed a certain English language test (if you don't have english GCSE). I'd check with your sixth forms about this to be sure, you may be fine.

As others have said you'll only need to do your A levels and the UCAT admissions test (UCAT is sat from July-Sept year before you apply). So if you are y12 now, and are hoping to apply to Uni in October this year, it will be this July/Aug/Sep you'll have to do it! Booking opens in June usually.
