How to independently sit A-level further maths?

I would like the sit A-level further maths as an independent candidate.

I don't need advice on the subject, but I am unsure how to sit an exam independently. Do I contact local colleges? Also, what exam board shoule I choose?

Campbell Harris College on High Street Kensington, Kensington, London, W8 6SH has 100s of 16-19-year-olds as well as mature students i.e. 21+ and lots of future Oxbridge, Law, Medicine, Dentistry, Economics and TMUA and STEP candidates each year.

Just print out or even e-mail Caleb the exams officer and complete the form here: How to register | Campbell Harris

Most of the exams will take place in a huge hall at St Mary Abotts Centre, Vicarage Gate, London W8 4HN, which is a 5-10 minute walk from High Street Kensington tube station and the college itself!!! 🙂 lol

I would strongly suggest studying with Pearson Edexcel. Because Pearson Edexcel has the most resources and there are 6-10 YouTube Channels for A-Level Further Maths and the majority are focused on Pearson Edexcel.

I also must stress, Further Mechanics 1 and Further Decision 1 as papers for your 2 optional A-Level Further Maths papers. Or you could even choose Further Pure 1 and Further Mechanics 1 or if you are applying for Physics or Engineering then Further Mechanics 1 and Further Mechanics 2.

Good luck.

You could also try David Game College based near London Liverpool Street in "City of London" Jewry Street.

However, DEADLINE: The standard entry fee deadline is until Monday 3rd February 2025. After this deadline, we will consider late entry applications subject to available space; please see below the fees for late entries:

Private Candidate A Level & AS Level Exams - DG College London

Campbell Harris has around 2000 Candidates each year AND also offer almost any examboard from Edexcel, AQA, OCR and WJEC.

But David Game does not offer every specification and the deadline was in early February 2025. ☹️

Choose Edexcel - there is a search function to find centres who will accept private candidates.

Edexcel. I think it’s the most popular one and as such, the one with the most resources available online (e.g. Bicen Maths).
