Change of course at same university

I am currently a Year Zero student studying an Engineering Foundation.
I would like to enquire about the financial implications of changing my course and department for progression from year zero to year 1.
I was intending to progress to year 1 studies at the Department of Engineering however, I would now like to pursue a degree and progression from year zero Engineering to Year 1 Music Technology at the Department of Music. I have secured a place on the course and meet all associated criteria.
As I would be progressing from Year Zero to year 1, albeit at a different department, would this have a negative impact on my current student finance arrangements? I do not intend to withdraw or suspend my studies just progress into a different department.

When would you be starting this course? How long is the course? Is the course full time? Do you have any other previous study?

Hi Claire,
I would be progressing on to year 1 of a 3 year Music Technology degree instead of year 1 of a 3 year Engineering degree. I have all the finance in place for Engineering the only difference is the course code.
I do have previous study from many years ago (not from this course im currently registered on). I successfully claimed Extenuating Circumstances due to medical reasons.
It's the same university and length of course I will just be progressing on to a different degree at a different department but at the same university.
