gap year ideas

i'm sure a million versions of this thread exist but i'm undecided on what i'm doing in september yet so i was looking for what a gap year could entail.

does anyone have any idea where to look for gap year opportunities?? and if there is anything that preferably doesn't cost £20k for a 10 week placement.

i'm looking more for the humanities subject areas so more like museums, theatre, publishing, arts, tv, film, etc etc

also ucas links a company called yipiyap to tutor english/science/maths (i'd be qualified to do so) so if anyone happened to have experience with them, any comments would be greatly appreciated too!

thank you!

thank you! i have looked across google multiple times and in-depth across multiple different websites on suggested websites and companies but, as i had mentioned, much of the results were highly expensive placements, so i was looking for any recommendations for affordable placements within the specific sectors mentioned that i may not have heard of or come across before.

Could you not work to raise funds and then go somewhere to volunteer? You might get board and lodging. My mum went to Zambia to build houses a few years ago. Only cost her some flights and perhaps a donation or two. There is a lot you can do yourself. You don't have to go through organised operators.
