Transcripts

What do they actually mean for UK students when US unis ask for a transcript?

I assumed just GCSE/A level results but they seem to ask for yr 9 transcripts and you'd only get these in yr 11?

Colleges expect your school counsellor to provide a report showing all subjects you studied, with official grades, for every term of "high school" years - in the UK, that would be GCSE and A-levels years (Years 10-13). UK Year 9 is not a "high school" year. In the US, years 9-12 are high school years as they start school a year later.
