Medicine unis and gcses

Hello!
which universities do not accept gcse English language resits as I got grade 5 in it and grade 7 in English literature and I'm thinking of resitting to meet the requirements. and the rest of my grades are below:
maths - 6
biology - 7
chemistry- 6
physics - 7
german - 6
religious studies - 7
english language - 5
english literature - 7
computer science - 7
Or what are the universities that accept grade 5 English language or can look at my English literature grade instead. I don't know whether i should just resit gcse eng lang because its going to be in 10 weeks and from the practice I've done so far, I don't know if ill be able to get the grade 6 or not :frown:
I've been trying to check on universities websites however they don't really talk about resits - is there any website or document that talks about it or will I have to email each university to ask?? but the thing is I don't really know which university I want to go to...but I'm considering uni of bristol.
I'm soo lost right now on what to do 😢

Medical schools you can apply to without resitting:
Glasgow, St Andrews, BSMS, Plymouth, Imperial (take the Duolingo English test for £70), Oxford, Cambridge, Newcastle. But for the last 3 you are very unlikely to get into whatever Ucat score you get unless there were extenuating circumstances like the bereavement of a very close family member (for Cambridge + oxford; I don't think Newcastle would care).

You could get into any Irish medical school too provided you achieve very high a level grades and a high HPAT score.

I can't comment on how many medical schools you could apply to if you resat English language, sorry.

Bristol needs a 7 in maths, unfortunately

Hi,
This website was super helpful for me, it updates every year and summarises all the entry requirements for all medical schools (https://www.medschools.ac.uk/studying-medicine/how-to-apply-to-medical-school-in-the-uk/entry-requirements)
As for resits, I emailed the university admissions teams
Hope this helps!
