rejected by queen mary for 'not meeting general college entry requirements'

Yesterday I received a rejection from Queen Mary for BSc Maths, and the reason stated is that I don't 'meet general college entry requirements'. The course requires ABB, and my predicted grades are A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry. I am a retake student so I am retaking Maths and Chemistry, and doing Further Maths for the first time this summer. Does anyone know what they mean by general college requirements? I am a home student and also meet all of QM's GCSE requirements.

Just a guess but it may be because of the resits, not 100% sure though, hope you get the answer you're looking for.

I think that it is maybe because a lot of uni's see further maths as just an extension of Maths a-level and so they often require a fourth. This does depend on where you apply as my school was told that it was the case for some uni's in England.
