may i ask: why is wolfson not considered a good college? also: please tell me st antony's is not too bad, i got it 😭

It's just modern so it doesn't have the feeling of a traditional Oxford college. I'm sure it has good qualities - I mentioned one already. How it scores in other respects, I don't know

Hi guys! I just received a college offer from Corpus Christi yesterday via email. Hoping to connect with fellow Corpus people on here (although I know with the college size, the probability will be pretty low -- but not giving up haha!) I would also be grateful if you all have any reviews on life at Corpus in general. Thank you!

Congrats! I had a good friend who went to Corpus for undergrad. It is a tiny college but very beautiful (especially the library), and everyone is super nice and friendly. I'm sure you'll have a great time there.

Thank you so much for your response! Could you please give any insight on accomodation if possible?

Does anyone have any info on Hertford? How is it as a graduate student? It wasn't my first choice and I'm slightly concerned about their accommodation...

Just a note to say that colleges do generally have info about graduate accommodation on their website, even if it doesn't answer all the questions you may have.

i lived Gateway building (ensuite) during the academic year. This is a nice, recently built (comparatively) building with good amenities. Each floor had two shared kitchens.

During the summer period (I was on a 12 month course), the Gateway building wasn't available because the College hosted international students for some oxford experience programs so I lived in a one-bed flat across the road from the college. This was a much older building but not too bad

One of my friends lived in Founders building and he had a horrible experience with the bed and heating and everything else. That's a really old building

Hello! Was Gateway a roomy and spacious flat, with good natural lighting?
Also if you dont mind sharing, do you know anything about Ghassan Shaker or Grade A+ housing?
Thank you so much for your insight!

Unfortunately after you've applied you can't change your college preference (or lack thereof).
If you do get Wolfson (and I wouldn't want to go there either, even though the food's meant to be good), you could always just try again next year. Nobody who matters will think less of you for withdrawing and trying again. And trust me, the year will fly by. In the long run, a year's wait is not a lot.
Whatever you do decide, take some time and think carefully before you act - and about how you'll feel about each of your potential decisions in the future.

That's so stupid
