A level options

Hi! I’m debating on what a level options I should consider. I want to study law at a Russell group uni- preferably LSC. Would English lit, politics and maths be ideal?

Law has no specific entry requirements as far as I'm aware.

I can’t see any issues with those subjects but have you checked the entry requirements of the specific universities that you’re interested in?

yes i have, most of them have no exact requirements for law but just wanted to make sure my options were good^^ i wanted to avoid picking mainly essay based subjects since the unis i have looked at (mainly LSC) consider a broad mix of a level subjects.

By LSC are you referring to LSE?

If you are referring to LSE, then I’ve checked on their website and I can’t see how your subject combination would be an issue.

Pick 3 A level subjects that you will enjoy studying and where you feel confident of good grades - do not worry about what you think 'looks good'.

Hi,
English Literature, Politics, and Maths are strong A-level choices for Law at Russell Group universities, including LSE. English Lit and Politics are particularly relevant, as they help develop analytical and argumentative skills along with creating an essay "portfolio" you can use to boost your application, all essential for law. Maths demonstrates logical thinking, which is also valued.
However, you should check the specific entry requirements on LSE's and other universities' websites for the courses you're interested in. Some law courses may recommend or prefer subjects like History or another essay-based subject.
