rejected from durham because of lnat essay, likelihood of bristol offer?

just got my durham rejection yesterday and they said it was because of my essay. i know that bristol weighs the lnat essay 40/60 to the mcq - i got 28 in my mcq, am predicted three a*s, is it likely that i'll get an offer from bristol?? it's my first choice ideally and now i'm worried

TBH, it's difficult to tell.

LNAT is a very difficult test and results highly unpredictable. Every year more than half of the academic top students (with predicted grades typically A*AA or above?]) scored less than 50% in the MCQ. In my personal opinion LNAT tests candidates' performance under extreme time constraints on subjects that are new continents to them. It does not always reflect your true potential and cability.

You are a very smart guy. Bristol and Durham do not mean the whole world. A lot non-LNAT law schools are of similar, if not superior, standards to Bristol and Durham.

Don't worry too much about it - I got rejected from Durham because of my essay too but got an offer from Bristol. You should be fine! :smile:

Yes! I know two people who were rejected from Durham because of essay but had offers from Cambridge.
