edinburgh vet med entry requirement question

hii not sure if anyone can help but i have a quick question about the 5-year vet med programme at edinburgh

i am an american student and am currently completing my undergraduate degree. i'm worried that i won't be able to complete my prereqs in time (organic chemistry, biochemistry, and physics). it looks like these are only prereqs for their 4-year programme? so could i potentially gain an unconditional offer to their 5-year programme without finishing these prereqs? or would it still be conditional on completing them? ty for any advice!!

I can’t answer your question but if you want to be sure of the answer, you should definitely phone and/or email the admissions team there. This is what they are there for and they will have the most up to date knowledge on this.

Hii!
I also don't know the answer for sure, but since vet med is so competitive, I would try to get them done whether or not they are "required". Unless there is something about your application that could make you stand out from the rest of the pool, you wouldn't be chosen to be interviewed over another US candidate who had a similar GPA and experience if they had completed those classes and you hadn't.

Then again, the brochure I received when I interviewed in Feb just says, "US and Canadian candidates with two years of pre-vet will be considered for the five-year programme. An overall (on a 4-point scale) GPA of 3.4 is expected." I assume this route is talking exclusively about the 5-year and not the 4-year GEP degree.
