I can’t see Mandarin as a course on their website, see Chinese is listed. There does not seem to be an option for Chinese and politics, however you can study 2 languages ie Chinese and French.

No joint degree would be one language and politics or French and politics does not seem to be option to do French, German and politics. Chinese does not seem to have politics as an option.

Hi there,
I had a look through their website, and it doesn't seem like they offer it. However, if you're open to exploring other options, there are universities that offer Chinese and International Relations, such as SOAS: International Relations and Chinese BA (Hons) SOAS.
Through this course, Mandarin is incorporated as part of the curriculum. Let me know if you need any more suggestions!

Having any language at A Level would be useful but it is not required at all!

I myself studied Arabic at SOAS without any language A Level and was still accepted and benefited greatly from the course.

Also I've included a few blogs from students studying Chinese, that might be useful for yourself

What my typical week as a SOAS student looks like

Blessing and good fortune: My experience learning Chinese at SOAS

Happy to answer any other questions
