Hey i’ve applied to cardiff uni and i was thinking of firming but ive been added to a gc and most people on there are saying that english people shouldn’t be coming to welsh uni- i was just wondering if this is an issue at the uni or just an issue with these particular people 😭

English shouldn't goto Welsh uni? What is the logic?

There are tens of thousands non-UK students coming to study in UK, many of them are even non-English speaking. Likewise there are British pursuing studies overseas.Many top unis worldwide are proud to advertise themselves as "world unis".

We are going towards a world without boundaries, don't be bound by those strange concepts.

Hi there!

Congratulations on your application to Cardiff Uni!
I’m sorry you’ve had this experience. I’m in my fourth year at Cardiff University, and can safely say I have never heard or encountered this as an issue! There are so many English students here (honestly maybe more than Welsh students), as well as many international students!
The uni is so diverse, inclusive, and welcoming, there is such a good sense of community, and always something for everyone! That’s my favourite part about Cardiff, and often why I recommend it!
