3 year residency rule & student finance

Hi there, I was born in the UK and lived here until 2014. I then moved to Australia for 10 years and returned to England in May 2024. I have applied for my Law Degree, been accepted and applied for student finance. On the Gov website, it notes my application has been approved. However, it has asked for my National Insurance number, which I provided. However, it came up with an error saying the NI is already on the system and if I have not applied for student finance before, to upload proof of my NI, by way of a payslip P60. I have gone to upload this, but it won't let me click onto the option to do it. I will call on Monday for further support with this but was wondering if my application would change and be declined before I do not meet the three year residency rule?
Thank you in advance.

Hi there,

Have you had finance before from us? Did you state on your application you were outside the UK?

Thanks,
Claire
