Is there still an anime society at cccu?

If I get into Canterbury christ church uni I was hoping to make friends with people who share the same interests as me (anime & manga). I was gonna join a society or something if I go but I noticed that the only hints of an anime society there is that is a private Facebook group from 2012. Its private so I can't tell if its still used. There's also no mention of it on the student union website so there's only a slim chance it still exists.

Its not an overly big deal for me as I see that uni of Kent has a anime society that I think non students can join

Sadly, it doesn't look like there is one at the moment! You have the option of UKC, but there is nothing stopping you from starting an anime society when you join us. The process to do this is at the bottom of the society's page, it's good experience as well, but it's worth reaching out to the SU if you are keen! 🙂 Societies
