Gcse Music vs GCSE geo

I've got to choose tonight and i just wanted someone else's opinion. Would it really matter if I took music gcse and not geo gcse on my application when I'm older? I understand that there's a certain prestige to the geo gcse but is it really that much more beneficial for a career in like medicine or stem? I've got predicted 9's in both subjects and I like both subjects quite a lot, but I do think that with Comp Sci and Econ taking geo will be a bit too academic + I have done music for like 7 years and really do think I will enjoy it. Ik the specifications and the material as well for both and like those as well. Idk what to do considering the deadline is in 2 hours

I can’t see why it would matter.

What subject do you prefer out of the two and what do you want to do in sixth form?

It depends on what you want to do for A levels and at uni. Music can be quite difficult though compared to geography where memorising content can carry you to a 9.

My A levels are probably gonna be Bio, Maths, Further Maths and Comp Sci, but I've done music + music theory for a very long time. (Grade 7 on clarinet and Grade 7 music theory), but I would like to score a 9. Is it really difficult to do so at gcse?

With a high music theory grade, probably not, it is quite academic but with grade 7 theory and performance that will probably be quite easy. For those A levels, it doesn’t really matter which gcse, so I would say go for which you would find more fun (also remember music is wayyy less more content to revise than geography and 60% is coursework)

i did music early (grade 9) and am currently doing geography. If your school does Edexcel Music I would really recommend it as I found it very manageable - also in my case i don't want a career in music so it was kind of my last opportunity to play my instruments for a purpose! I'm finding geography fine as well though. Let us know what you pick
