Uni + Spam box!

Hi, I received an email from one of my universities and unfortunately it went to my spam. I only just saw it now and responded immediately however it was asking for information for the 26th of Feb today being the 2nd of March. I apologised and told them why plus sent the information immediately. Does this mean I'll not be considered? I know it's my fault for not checking my spam but I checked earlier and it was empty then reloaded and about a month of emails came through suddenly.. what do you think...?
