Paramedic science at Birmingham city university

Hi so I sent off my ucas in October, to study at Bcu, edge hill, Worcester, east anglia, anglia Ruskin, and most of them have gotten back to me apart from Birmingham city university, I did my interview in December 2024 on the 20th and it’ll now in march be 3 months since I’ve heard back from them. Has anyone who applied to take paramedic science at Birmingham city university got a response yet?! If so let me know please

Hi @Irin2007

I hope you are well. There is no set amount of time for the university to let you know about the outcome of your interview and some courses take longer than others to come to a decision. Our admissions team are extremely busy and will process your application as soon as possible. You can check for updates on your mySRS portal. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi there,
I study Paramedic Science at ARU and have had a great experience and have loved every minute so far. All the lecturers are paramedics which is so helpful as in lectures they are able to relate their own experiences and share stories/experience. I recommend ARU
Hope this was helpful. Any other questions please respond to this

Hi there,

Waiting for responses can definitely be stressful, especially when it’s been a while since your interview. Three months is a long time not to hear anything back, so I totally understand why you’re feeling uncertain.

From what others have shared, some unis do take a bit longer with high-demand courses like Paramedic Science, especially when they have a lot of applicants and interviews to get through. That said, it’s completely fair to reach out again to Birmingham City University’s admissions team directly and politely ask for an update. Include your UCAS ID and the date of your interview to help speed things along.

That said, it’s great that you’ve already heard from most of your other choices, including UEA. I’m actually at UEA doing my PhD and can honestly say it’s a really supportive place with a great community feel. If you do end up choosing it, especially for a hands-on course like Paramedic Science, you’ll be learning in a really practical and forward-thinking environment, with early placement opportunities and some top-notch facilities.

Hope you hear back soon, let me know how it goes! 😊
