Failed Pharm interview but offered pharmacology? what should i do???

So I recently did an interview at kingston and I thought it went fine. There were two parts, the first one was situational judgement questions which was ok and then the second part was gcse maths questions (multiple choice) which i know i flopped. I couldn’t really think tbh and the guy doing my interview said I had to spend 30 seconds on each question with no calculator and would get annoyed if i took too long on each question. I don’t know what to do because I just panicked and I really want to do pharmacy at kingston. can somebody give me some advice please??? :frown:((

I'm sorry the interview didn't go well. Unfortunately if you've been offered pharmacology instead of pharmacy (or pharmacy with foundation year) I'm not sure there is anything you can do.
Would you rather do pharmacology at Kingston or do pharmacy elsewhere? Have you had other interviews for pharmacy and any offers from those?

You can either use the alternative offer as Firm or Insurance choice or just ask Kingston to reject you.

You can't ask for a re-run of the Interview. Part of the time-pressure limit is to see how you cope under pressure - important for Pharmacy work - but you could still ask for feedback to see if that was what let you down.

Hi @Averytiredyear13

Sorry to hear the interview didn't go as you had hoped.

The other responses have asked and made some good points. I would recommend having a look into the pharmacology course so you can make a clear decision where you have weighed up all your options.

Here is a link to the course page Pharmacology BSc (Hons) degree course - London undergraduate courses - Kingston University London

It may also be worth coming to our offer holder day on Saturday to get a chance to speak to lectures and students about the course.

I am also happy to answer any questions you have about Kingston in general to help you make your decision.

Hope this is helpful

I’m not sure 100% sure if you can do this but u could reject them now if u really don’t want to be pharmacology and if you feel like u don’t want to go anywhere else but Kingston then u could reject the other offers and apply again via clearing but this is obvi a risk because then u would be losing ur other offers so it depends on how much you want to go to Kingston really 🤔

Ik this sounds really sad but I’ve acc been feeling so depressed lately because I’ve had 3 interviews for Pharmacy and I have no offers yet apart from the Pharmacology offer from Kingston. My friends have had interviews a few days apart from me and have got offers already. I just feel like I have no motivation at this point, I really wanted to do pharmacy and I have looked into pharmacology but it’s not for me

Have you asked for feedback? This might help for future interviews if you know where you went wrong.
Then maybe try applying through clearing for pharmacy places - there will be some courses available I'm sure.
