SWBio Reserve 2025

Hey everyone,
About two weeks ago, I was notified that I’m third on the reserve list for the SWBio DTP studentship. It’s a bit disheartening to be in limbo, but I’m also grateful that I wasn’t outright rejected.
I was wondering if anyone else is in the same situation or has been through this before? What are the chances of getting off the reserve list? How long did it take for you to hear back? Just trying to get a sense of what to expect!

I’m in a different DTP, but one of my course mates was waitlisted until July. They almost withdrew because they figured there was no hope of funding. However, in July they got an email that they were off the waitlist and got a fully funded place! Not sure how common this is, but it does happen apparently.
