university of Manchester accom - Whitworth Park or Rusholme place

I was wondering if anyone knew what Rusholme Place accommodation is like at the University of Manchester? I will be a foundation year student so don't want an accommodation too far out from campus (Fallowfeild) but I have heard that Whitworth Park is kinda 'dead' in terms of social life.

Rusholme Place (RP) is a good value for money halls of residence option near the University of Manchester's South Campus for Foundation students. Located on Victoria Park Campus, it is a 10-15 minute walk to the main campus, better than Fallowfield (bus commute required) and close to the Curry Mile (food and drink hub), making it a convenient place to live. Ensuite rooms are available, priced from £133.5/week, with moderate facilities. Socially, RP is not as vibrant as Fallowfield, but it is more vibrant than Whitworth Park (WP), which has older facilities and is more compact, so the social scene is more subdued, and RP is located in an area that has 24-hour security, so you don't need to worry too much about your safety, despite its proximity to Indaba Street. RP is located in an area with 24-hour security, and despite its proximity to Indaba Street, safety is not a major concern. RP is a good choice if you are on a budget and want to balance commuting with convenience.
