Funding for Second PGCE?

Hi there! I'm currently studying my Masters after I finished my PGCE in SEND. Knowing how hard it is to be a lecturer, I've started considering getting a QTS as I wouldn't mind being a teacher for secondary years. But here's the issue: will Student Finance fund me again for a PGCE with a QTS? Someone from the Get into Teaching said it's possible but couldn't give me a definitive answer. Any help would be great!

Hi, You would get funding to do a course leading to QTS, as it is exempt from the rules about previous funding, though you wouldn't need to do another PGCE. There are courses which lead to QTS only which you could consider. It may be worth signing up for a free Get into Teaching adviser here , who can go through your individual circumstances and make sure you apply to the courses which would be a best fit.

Hope that helps,
