Hi, so I received a conditional offer for St Andrews in late November, and have unfortunately not met the conditions they have provided. (I got my results in December, as I’m an international student studying on a different curriculum.) I have sent in my results and the status shows as having been accepted by the uni, but for some reason they haven’t changed my UCAS nor the applicant portal status as unsuccessful? I was fully expecting them to, but does this mean I still have hope in perhaps securing a place? I am yet to accept my offer as not all five of my Choices have given me an offer, so that could have also been the reason why. I’ve also received an email this morning letting me know to apply for accommodation once I accept my offer so I’m more confused.
I just would like to know if this means I still have hope? Obviously I know I didn’t meet their conditions, but the course I have applied for isn’t as popular as other courses, so I’m thinking that may be why?
Do universities change your acceptance status before the deadline of offers if you have missed their conditions? Please let me know. Thanks!
