Alert: Fraudulent Recruitment Practices Targeting UK Job Seekers

Hi all,

I recently encountered a concerning situation with two companies: Graduate Financial Recruitment (https://graduatefinancialrecruitment.com) and Financial Regulation Courses (https://www.financialregulationcourses.com).

After applying for a position through Graduate Financial Recruitment, I was informed that I needed to complete a specific certification from Financial Regulation Courses to proceed. They assured me that this certification was essential for the role and widely recognized in the industry.

After paying the required fees and completing the course, I discovered that the certification held no real value and was not recognized by legitimate employers. It became evident that these two entities are working together to scam job seekers by promoting and selling worthless certifications.

I urge fellow UK job seekers to be vigilant and thoroughly verify the legitimacy of any certifications or courses recommended during your job search. Don't let these scammers take advantage of your aspirations.

Stay alert and informed!

Sorry about your experience, i came across them 2 years ago, had the one hour ish interview where they told me they loved my CV but just needed me to supplement it with the certification lol. That was the red flag for me lol.

There’s no incentive for an employer to ask you to complete a course before being hired. They either hire people with the certificate already or hire you and sponsor you through the program.
