Funding for a second PGCE?

Hi there! I'm currently studying my Masters after I finished my PGCE in SEND. Knowing how hard it is to be a lecturer, I've started considering getting a QTS as I wouldn't mind being a teacher for secondary years. But here's the issue: will Student Finance fund me again for a PGCE with a QTS? Someone from the Get into Teaching said it's possible but couldn't give me a definitive answer. Any help would be great!

Hi there. Do you know the details of the course you are looking to study and do you already hold QTS? Thanks, Leah.

Hi there, I'm hoping to study a full-time PGCE with a QTS, specialising in Design and Technology in 2026-2027

I don't hold a QTS currently, just a PGCE

Thanks. Students can receive funding for a second ITT course of two years or less providing you did not gain QTS from your previous course. Funding would consist of a Tuition Fee Loan, a Maintenance Loan (as well as supplementary grants and/or DSAs where applicable) for the full course, and one repeat year. Thanks, Jason
