Is this a good university application?

1. University of Manchester- Politics Philosophy and Economics (AAA)
2. University of York- Politics and International Relations (AAB)
3. University of Dundee- Politics (ABB)
4. Aston University- Politics and International Relations (BBC)
5. Ulster University- Politics and International Studies (BCC)

For some context, I am a student from Northern Ireland hoping to work in PR (or possibly journalism but I think the salaries are very poor which discourages me). I study A-level Classical Civilisation, Economics and Politics & Government. Does this sound like a good series of courses to pick together as my options?

From UCAS applicstion tactics point your choices are very good.

Maybe you could be a bit more aggressive, replacing Dundee or Aston with a more aspirational choice like LSE, KCL or UCL.

If you're predicted (or expect to be) AAA (presumably you are since one if your choices is AAA) you really dont need to apply to anything below ABB in me opinion. Its seems unlikely you'd drop more than 2 grades and courses below BBB in that area are much less likely to fill all their spaces on results day anyway and may well be available in clearing regardless....

I would suggest applying for 3 or 4 AAA courses (you may be able to venture an A*AA course...?) And then 1 or 2 AAB or ABB courses.

You only need one insurance choice ultimately.
