Self studying A level Physics

I'm really confused with the AQA A level Physics exam settings. I started self studying for A level Physics in January which exams am I sitting because I would like to complete it when I complete the ones I'm taking at school - Construction, Engineering, and Maths.

Unfortunately, you took what might be the worst course for physics. Recently quite a few schools changed from AQA, due to the last 2 years of A level exams being jokes of a pain. This is due to AQA being a lot more about interpreting the question, before answering, than (for example) CAIE, which focuses on the response, since the questions are easier to understand.

My honest recommendation is checking the 2024 & 2023 end of year papers, if you can get access to them from someone close to you, so you can understand how the questions are formatted. Then (as most people might recommend) you could use a combination of YT vids & physics/maths tutor, to study the actual topic. Don't forget doing end of topic tests!
Then once you think you've finished revising & are ready for the exams, check back on those 2024 & 2023 papers. Now you should be able to understand them, even if it takes time. If you finish those papers before their time limit, it should mean you're prepared.

Hope this helped~!

But would I be writing any major exams in year 12

Physics is a bit difficult (like i said to interpret) the questions themselves, but if you know all your formulae & have revised core concepts, you won't have an issue. There's also the Practical or alt-to practical you will sit, I believe you will be doing the practical, though.

TLDR; No major exams
