Can you clarify which university you're referring to? The thread title mentions Bristol ("Would university of Bristol give me an offer ?") but the post above mentions Bath. Which is it?

OK. At Bristol, Biological Sciences isn't a course in it's own right. It's a subject area covering these courses:
BSc Biology (C100)
BSc Biology with Professional Placement
BSc Plant Sciences (C201)
BSc Plant Sciences with Professional Placement
BSc Zoology (C300)
BSc Zoology with a Professional Placement
MSci Biology (C103)
MSci Biology with Professional Placement
MSci Plant Sciences (C203)
MSci Plant Sciences with Professional Placement
MSci Zoology (C303)
MSci Zoology with a Professional Placement

Did you have a particular course in mind? I'm going to assume BSc Biology (C100). Although their standard offer is AAA, in recent years they've made offers to 9 in 10 applicants and - of those to whom they made offers - ultimately accepted 86% of those who achieved AAB on results day. In fact, that's the most common grade profile of accepted students.

Note, however, that we don't know the grade profile of those to whom they made offers. It may have been that 90% had predicted grades of AAA or above (and so received offers) and 10% had AAB and below (and so didn't receive offers).

Finally, their Undergraduate Admissions Statement for that subject area (including BSc Biology itself) points out that "Applications are scored and ranked based on their academic record, according to their achieved or predicted results with the following weightings: GCSE 20% | A-Level 80%". So, academically, A levels are by fair the primary source of information used when selecting candidates. (source)

If you look on any Bristol course page, any specific GCSE requirements can be found in a panel on the right-hand side of the entry requirements - typically just English and Maths.
