what degree should I do

Hi, I am currently in S5 doing higher maths, english, modern studies, geography and art and in S6 I am planning on taking AH geography, AH maths, crashing physics and either politics or environmental science.

My favourite subjects are maths, geography and modern studies and my least favourite is english.

I have considered quite literally every degree under the sun , many of which include:

Politics- i find issues in politics fascinating but idk about working in it
International relations- find it more fascinating but I would rather have a degree with clearer career path Economics- tbh i just like maths and social subjects (pathetic reason ik) and you can actually get a job
Law - clear career path, enjoy social subjects however the idea of writing and reading so much seems so tedious, would only want to work in family/criminal/land/international law
Business- again, unclear career path
Geography
Architecture
Fashion Design
Mathematics or statistics- my favourite subject
most recently engineering (particularly civil)- clear career path and mathy which i like

I’m looking for a career which allows me to work with people and network , have a wide range of career opportunities avalible and will allow me to progress. Location wise I quite like working on my feet and I like travelling but also wouldn’t mind office work. I’m also looking for a good salary and a career which involves numbers.

Honestly if you don’t know, maybe a gap year is best. Uni is going to cost a lot you are better finding what you want to do then rushing in to a degree

It is quite difficult to make decision. I would say try find some work experience in economics/engineering, since those are the two you seem most interested in. Law would be a good decision, but only if you enjoy English as it is almost all essays + you have to work really hard. And if you don't know what to do, you could always take a gap year, and you won't be behind or missing out on much 🙂
I will say, engineering involves a lot of physics and maths, and if you are interested in geography, you could consider specialising further into something like sustainable engineering, for example.
