help need advice about a girl

So this girl in my class (who i dont talk to a lot) recently started to text me about some small talk stuff (like what i do after school, hobbies that sort of thing). so i just assumed she was just maybe trying to get to know me better? but im worried that she might actually like me (i only see her as someone i know because she does text multiple messages in one go, asks me what im up to often and responds really quickly to my messages. How do i talk to her without giving her any accidental hints that im interested in her like that? (of course i could be wrong and she is just overly friendly)

I dont really wanna be rude i just think her texting me and not doing much outside of text is a bit awkward (maybe she is just a bit shy??)

The usual way of giving a clue that it is only friendship you are interested in is to reply, but with a delay and to avoid flirty banter
